Dear Sir/Madam
I am writing this letter to bring to your attention that myself and large number of my neighbours are extremely unhappy about the new plan to enlarge our local airport and surely to increase the number of flights. We all would like you to discuss this issue as soon as possible in your newspaper.
We are all living in a compound near the airport and are facing the noise problem created from the landing and taking-off of aeroplanes nearly every four to five minutes. Although we have got used to it, but it is affecting our health and temper; our behavior at home and work. At the same time, the traffic in our area is highly crowded. You can imagine what would happen if the number of passengers were increased using the proposed new airport.
Please do not understand this matter simply as a problem for some individuals, because even if we leave this district and find another quiet place to live in, others will ineviatbly occupy the houses that we live in at present. Some citizens will always face the problem. I believe that we have the right to bring this matter to the public attention.
I would be most grateful if you would understand and support this case as soon as possible.
Yours faithfully
Sameh
A pretty good effort, Sameh! Thanks for your initiative and interest!

Dear all,
I think Sameh's artical is well written and orginized in term of 'punctuation use'. i hope i could do the same. All the best for all to write the same article.
Firas
I agree, Firas and will comment on Sameh's text in due course.
Maybe you guys should concentrate on Task 2 writing as your Task 1 efforts are well 'up to speed'.
Good work, lads! The lasses are lagging way behind and haven't even left the starter's stalls (horse racing analogy 'cos it's Grand National Day today at Aintree racecourse in Liverpool).
